I'm a well-rounded and extremely passionate musician who loves sharing the ability to make music with as many people as I can. In 2017, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on Guitar Performance. It is important to understand what motivates a student to learn something. Understanding what is creating that relationship between the student and that instrument is important to understand. I encourage learning how to set goals and plot them against a calendar. Identifying short and long term goals helps us have a target to aim for even if it is years away. I started teaching guitar 21 years ago when a friend of mine asked for some pointers. After working with him for a couple months, it became apparent to me that I was really enjoying sharing the techniques and tricks to more comfortable, relaxed playing. I then pursued a career in teaching music as well as several other disciplines (First Aid/CPR/AED and snowsports). I've been teaching guitar for about 15 years, voice for 10, drums and harmonica for 6 and classical guitar for the last 4.
