Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

At the start of the first lesson, I give each new student a questionniare to fill out that tells me their musical background, influences, goals for the instrument and what music they are interested in learning. If the new student is a younger child, I begin them with Hal Leonard's Guitar Method Book One. Once they have grasped the simple chords and melodies of the book, I begin to introduce simple songs that they are interested in learning. Read More

Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace Each student is an individual with a unique personality background, and therefore it is essential to meet the students where they are at. My number one rule for teaching is patience and setting small goals each week. Every student should want to pick up the instrument days after the lesson. Seeing someone learn a song and playing it through correctly is a mini miracle. Progress through repetition and different exercises has been a high yield of success in my personal experiences. As an educator, I graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania in May 2020, studying under professors such as Dr. Sheryl Monkelien, Dr. Nathan Rinnert, Mr. Conrad Alexander, and much more. I believe that effective instruction has a “rhythm” of its own that takes place as a result of the alternation of doing and thinking, and that good teaching of anything begins with what the students already know, or have the ability to do, and ends with what we want them to know, or be able to do.
