Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. My teaching style is a combination of both specific repeating methods and occasional spontaneity. The methods I implement are designed to build on and use what has been learned in previous lessons; so that the end goal is always geared towards mastery of knowledge and skill. There is a lot of repetition involved as far as always referring back to previous lessons. I also implement games from time to time to help a student master a skill they may be having difficulty with; so as to dissuade discouragement and keep the the student engaged and interested. I believe in a positive perspective on practicing: regular practice will greatly enhance a student's progress with lessons. Focusing on, and isolating, challenges, rather than practicing what has already been acquired, will help the student gain proficiency and fluency in his or her musical ability. Music is, in a sense, both a fine art, and a discipline. For that reason I teach both interpretation and technic. Mr. Ronnie W. is native from Dallas, Texas. Mr. W attended Dallas Lincoln Humanities / Communications Magnet High School. As a student of music growing up he was taught how to play the saxophone during his 7th grade year. Mr. W. started to flourish on the instrument and was quickly moved from Beginning Band to Advanced Band. Mr. W. continued to play Saxophone all through High School. In order to do this I teach them according to what they want to learn, while pushing them to play faster and learn more.
