When learning the fundamentals of guitar, I find it easiest to first learn through visually learning the hand shapes and hearing the different notes and intervals. I have discovered all beginning guitar methods are essentially the same, so pretty much any of them will work for a beginner. It is how the individual processes the information! Some people are auditory learners, others are by the note visual learners and others are both. I was an auditory learner, but soon realized I needed the note reading to move ahead with my study. I am a father of two young daughters who share my passion for all types of music (so far). I've had many credits on several studio albums ranging from hip hop to country, and most genres in between.
