Usually when I have beginning students, I typically begin by going over different exercises to build the strength and dexterity needed to play the instrument. I try to make the experience fun and entertaining by teaching various melodies and songs that can help understand the theory of what we're doing down the road. I try to establish what has inspired the student to pick up the instrument, and what music the student enjoys and wants to play. Read More
