I began teaching private and group public school lessons in my later high school years; from there I decided that a career in teaching and performance was my calling. During college, I continued teaching private lessons and received the opportunity to teach general music for half a year in a K-8 public school. One of the highlights from my time there was leading a group of 8th graders in forming their own contemporary classical ensemble, composing their own music, going to a professional studio and recording themselves, planning and scheduling a concert, and performing their original music live in front of their peers. I look for interests in students and like to begin with correcting and introducing proper technique. Then I move into note recognition, sight-reading, eat training, and theory. I'm a performing bassist and music educator with a strong background in jazz and classical music. I love to share my love of music with students and help them discover their own unique path. In 2022, I graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Performance after receiving the Jimmy Lyons full tuition scholarship. I've had the opportunity to study and play with great jazz musicians such as John Patitucci, Linda May Han Oh, Joe Lovano, and Danilo Perez, as well as perform at venues throughout Boston and the US such as Wallys Jazz Cafe, The Lilypad, Berklee Performance Center, Monterey Jazz Festival, and Dazzle Jazz Club.
