Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For those students who love to forge ahead, I use HARMONY AND THEORY. I don't tend to start out teaching how to read music, but if suggested/desired, I'm aok w/ the notion. I focus on chord tones, diatonic, symmetrical and other scales, syncopation/rhythms, the clave in Latin Music, the metronome, jazz chords vs other chords and more. I like to see some playing, learn technique music theory, but like to apply everything to something useful to the student. Each instrument has challenges and their own personality. There is nothing more satisfying than to see my students achieve their goals and develop an increasing love for music.Some students learn extremely fast, and some may learn at a slower pace than others.I am indeed a very patient and understanding instructor.People may have certain obstacles that may stand in their way of learning.That is the reason why I make myself available to talk to anyone with questions or certain concerns they may want to discuss.As time progress and I start to see their talent developing I often invite them to come to my live performances and sit in with the band.This helps to develop their craft and hopefully increase their self esteem and perseverance.Playing for your first audience can be a little scary, but once you've gotten through that initial performance, is undoubtedly a great achievement. Often what works for one student will not work for another, and I like to be sure I'm teaching the student most effectively. As I begin to understand the student's musical goals and interests, I can develop a specific curriculum that I know will not bore them or lose their attention.
