Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. When I think about a student learning wintry to put myself in there shoes. They want to feel like they have something to show for the time that they were the class session. . if we have an hour session and at the end of the session they can go out and show off what they learned then they will. It be as motivated to come back.... I initiate from the very beginning utilizing Orff, Kodaly and Suzuki methods, as well as some movement activities for my very young students (Pre-K and Kindergarten).Then, I implement some form of musical notation based around sight singing, as a way of laying a good foundation to build upon. For beginning students, my methods are centered around melody in the form of easy to play songs and tunes, and developing an understanding for basic theory through rudimentary scales and chord construction. More advanced students are entreated to delve more deeply into melodic playing and advanced scale work through modal play, advanced chordal technique, "tips and tricks for fancy licks", and pointers for breaking down, and understanding the songs you want to play. Maybe a student demonstrates an uncanny ability to articulate dynamics on the instrument, but they struggle to hit the right notes every time. Maybe they have perfect rhythm but they choose inefficient fingerings. Maybe the student can very quickly improvise their way back to the melody of a piece they are struggling to memorize.
