I'm a driven musician and educator who strives to use my gift to make a positive difference in the lives of my listeners and students. I studied (undergrad and graduate respectively) at Howard University and Temple University, two wonderful urban campuses. I have been blessed to spend years cultivating my style and technique in the authentic music scenes of these cities. I have been teaching on and off for about 25 years. as my recording career permits. For the past 7 years, steady in my home studio. My teaching style is based on years of experience and influences. I have combined approaches of teaching styles and knowledge from some of the top Jazz guitarists in the world to create my own method. I have been writing my own music since I was 14 and with the tools I teach students, it stirs up their creative juices and I encourage them to write & perform their own music. I combine the technique of Blues, Rock, & Jazz with ear training, helping a student to easilly recognizing chord changes in order to learn songs off a recording, instead of just copying other guitarists. I have 5 years of ensemble teaching, and 7 years of private instruction. I've developed a method of instruction that covers all bases, and spans several styles that focuses on consistent and fun practice. Practice is something to be enjoyed rather than a chore, and every step and improvement is exciting. For upright bass, I love to work on bow pressure and intonation and jazz idioms. I am a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students of all ages and levels. I currently attend Monmouth University and will be receiving a BM in Guitar Performance. I will also have a minor in Voice and Piano. Due to my career ending Division I soccer injury, performing has become one of my greatest loves, teaching is my first! I studied guitar with international performing artist Anna Maria Rosado and composition with American composer Annette Le Siege.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Guitar Performance from New Jersey City University.  I have performed extensively in small venues throughout Vermont, and was a house musician for several seasons at the Yosemite Theater in Yosemite National Park, California.
