Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am a composer, lyricist, active performer & instructor from Flint, Michigan. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Music with a focus in composition & classical guitar. Throughout my life, I have developed a unique style both as a musician & composer/songwriter. My musical style ranges from classical to avant-garde to popular music. As a multi-instrumentalists, my primary instruments are guitar, ukulele & banjo. My teaching style is focused in technique and theory. I believe that these two musical components allow individuals to understand the material that they wish to learn. Understanding the material at an elemental level allows the student to comprehend the steps that are necessary in order to accomplish what they musically desire. I create play-along videos, so that kids have something specific to practice at home. I use "Read this First" as a note reading book. Students play along with me and also by themselves at lessons. Eventually kids can gather together and play as a group if they wish to do so. I start with memorization, and easy ways of writing down the songs... and eventually kids will learn to read music, after they've secured a basic technique. Read More

Since 2011, during the summers, I was an employee for the New York Summer Music Festival or NYSMF for short. I started at NYSMF as a counselor and music theory teacher and I later earned a position as TA and Commercial Voice-Over Teacher. The festival is a wonderful place that hosts 11 to 21 year olds at SUNY Oneonta for 2-week session jampacked with ensemble rehearsal, solo and ensemble performances, guest artist concerts, classes, faculty/staff or student showcases, masterclasses and so much more.
