I recently moved from my home state of Massachusetts working as a director of an after school music program for youth, to pursue a career as a performer. For beginning students I focus on easily accessible music theory to tackle several key musical ideas at once; notes on the instrument, key signatures and scales, and the ability to read musical pitches and rhythms in music notation.
