For beginning students I tend to start with them learning the basic elements of the instruments and go over exercises that help familiarize them with the instrument. I Started with music 17 years now . I began age 10 with cello. 2 years later started the guitar. Picked up along the way electric bass, upright bass, ukulele , mandolin , banjo, basic piano and learning accordion. All middle and high school was in the orchestra. Graduated 2009, then attended Lone-star for 2 years taking music classes. I was in a band for about 3 years. We did some events, but then I decide to leave. My teaching experience spans 6 years. I've taught all ages, so I'm comfortable with everybodys learning pace. In college I studied under the Latin Grammy award winning La Catrina Quartet, and I hope to pass down the knowledge I gain from that experience to my students. With my students, I take them step by step through were they are as a musician, to were they need to be. I love the Bass guitar and Double Bass and it is my goal to find and teach the students who have this same passion for the instrument. In my opinion, the bass is the most essential instrument in ANY ensemble and so if you learn to play the bass well enough you are on the track for success in any genre you wish to play.
