Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I always start with getting to know the student and identifying his or her goals. What is the objective? From there, we will map out how we are going to get to that point. Most students' goal is to learn songs, so we will begin by identifying what those songs are. I will then figure out what skills are needed to play those songs, and we will start learning those skills at the most basic level possible, gradually increasing complexity until you have the ability to put those skills together and start rocking out! A student's progression is completely up to them. I teach them the techniques and give them the knowledge and then give them a goal to reach by our next lesson. I try to be as encouraging as possible while still pointing out things they could be doing better. Again, the main point of learning an instrument is to have fun with it. I usually just require that each student has a spiral bound notebook which I will fill with exercises and songs. I like to keep the mood light even as we might be doing very repetitive exercises. I also like to illustrate through example, but figuring songs out on the spot for the student, and playing them other examples of songs that relate to what ever concept we're covering that week. Drums: Pad , Drumset, and occassional Hand-drumming sessions. Classical Staff instruction in drums, I use a different methodology here , (Guitar being a new-age music theory approach.) Guitar: Acoustic, Acoustic-Electric, Electric, with a pick or without a pick styles. I teach tablature and diagrams and charts.
