Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Hello! I'm a recent graduate from Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental/Choral/General Education finishing up my student teaching. My primary instrument's are bassoon and voice with guitar, ukulele and piano as secondaries but I have a deep love for learning new instruments and have gained intermediate proficiency in all western orchestral/concert band winds, strings and percussion with an emphasis in woodwinds, low brass and marching/concert percussion. I approach teaching as an avenue to inspire others. Making mistakes are just as important as playing something perfect. I like to stress that perfection is not the goal but feeling good from playing your instrument is. It is very important for my students to practice outside of lessons. What works for some may not work for others and I make sure to cater my instruction methods based on the needs of the student.
