Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I start lessons with new students by asking what they would like to learn and ask what their overall goal is so I can better adjust lessons to achieve the students hopes and goals. For beginner students I start with helping them understand the parts of the instrument which I believe can help a student better understand how it works and therefore how to better perform on it. I do believe that while scales, arpeggios, and exercises are very important it is also very important to create fun exercises that are actual music instead of just a scalar excercise, because at least for me playing scales for an hour a day is not why I got into music. I normally create a lesson plan that develop the student skills yet keep them interested in wanting to learn more about music not just a whole lot of theory. I normally use my own material I'll bring to lessons. I'll usually create a lesson plan that'll focus on all basic fundamentals that are goal-focused, while incorporating songs that'll help reinforce those mechanics! I like to keep lessons fun by bringing music that students enjoy. I also try to encourage and motivate my students to do that from an artistic point of view. I think every human being understands and feels the music in his own different way and my purpose is to unlock and educate this feeling through my lessons. Read More

Through this experience, I lost my stage fright and began to love performing. At 21, I moved to Denver Colorado. Even though I was working I just couldn't give up on playing. A new band was formed and my experience expanded in style and skills. With this band, I performed at countless bars, parties, and even recorded music. At around 27, I moved to Houston, Texas. This was a time of great experiences with different types of music - everything from country to classic, Flaminco Spanish influence. Read More
