I started taking cello lessons over the summer before 6th grade, and played in the ensemble at my middle school and high school, continuing lessons throughout. I find it is always helpful to allow students to play music that they enjoy - experiencing a range of both popular and classical pieces to broaden their horizons. I encourage my students to do a lot of listening as a part of their practice. Read More
