Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For beginning cello students who are children, I typically start with Suzuki method elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. The entire room had a smell of old paper, years of rosin buildup in the corners, and the smell of varnish from the short row of school instruments that students could borrow behind the tiniest teacher desk I had ever seen. I am a passionate and motivated teaching artist who enjoys working with children and adults. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Music at Loyola University New Orleans in the fall of 2017.
