I have been teaching music for the past 25 years. First in the Public Schools in Tennessee and Florida and at the college level. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. During my time at Oberlin, I performed across the country and even in Europe, but I was always able to come home to my students that I taught throughout my degree.
