I am an energetic and passionate teacher who strives to pass on my love and knowledge of music. I am a recent graduate from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in music education. During my time in school, I focused not only on cello performance and technique, but on various teaching methods and pedagogies as well. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Music from New York State University at Stony Brook and also earned a performance certificate from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb. My instructors include world celebrated Beaux Arts Trio cellist Bernard Greenhouse and Russian cellist Raya Garbusova. During my college years, I had toured and performed extensively with Young Artists’ Concert Chamber Music Group, which also includes televised performances. In addition to that, I was selected to appear regularly in a chamber music series in New York City with many renowned artists including violinist Raphael Hillyer, bassist Julius Levine, and clarinetist Charles Russo. As a cello instructor, my students have been accepted into several top music programs including the University of North Texas, the University of Houston, Texas Tech University, Sam Houston State University, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Several have gone on to become teachers themselves. I have taught students of all age levels and experience, from beginners both young and old, to conservatory level; from basic setup and posture, to advanced left hand and bowing technique. Read More

I use All for Strings, Suzuki, Klengel (scales) at the beginning level. I proceed to Concerto repertoire, Popper, Dotzauer etc. The usual classical repertoire. I will also transcribe popular pieces or pieces that the student enjoys to really increase motivation. I also test weekly to inform students of where their practice ability is at and what they need to improve on.
