My teaching experience extends back to when I was a student volunteer in high school. I loved to teach the younger students as a junior/senior, and helped out with the "morning music" elementary program. I also taught middle school students with special needs how to play the violin when I was a senior, and assisted with after school tutorials. My life is unimaginable to me without music. As a music major, I began performing and gigging. I discovered that I enjoyed playing not only classical music, but musicals, pop, and rock as well. Nearer to graduation, I began teaching privately, eventually becoming a full-time public school orchestra teacher in Augusta. I moved to Pittsburgh in 2011, where I happily continue my career as a string/voice/keys teacher, and performer primarily on voice, violin, and cello with Midnight Vinyl Duet. Read More

I continued to teach through college, when I also became a member of NAfME and the educational honors society of Kappa Delta Pi. As an undergraduate I studied music education, performed with cello in the orchestra, took composition studies and a world music class, and achieved an A for my senior recital performance on the piano. Graduating from Grove City College with a bachelor of music and a K-12 teachers certification, I have since been employed as a substitute teacher while continueing to provide private music lessons to students of all ages. I started with my music studies since I was 7 years old and I can say it has been one of my biggest joys I have in my life, and as such I am passionate about it and it is why I like to share that joy with the audience, as well as students.
