My teaching style is very regimented in the direction goal-setting and interests. Realistically setting goals is important for students of all abilities. Comparison from one student to the other is detrimental to the student's success as a musician, so I will tailor the progress to fit every need. I will also get the student involved with groups where they can further their learning and abilities. I am a firm believer in appropriate fundamentals are the key to stronger and healthier playing skills. In my lessons, I will encourage many types of fundamentals to round-out students playing abilities at the level which is most appropriate at the time. I enjoy teaching all ages from the very beginning student to the more advanced students and can adapt my teaching methods accordingly. I feel each student learns differently and that we are all individuals with different personalities and learning styles.
