I tailor lessons for each individual student based upon their age, ability, and cognition. I am a big believer in repetition, and reinforce fundamentals heavily. For all students, we will work greatly on building good habits right away. We will do exercises for breathing, embouchure, and hand position. From there, we will work on tone quality. Hello! I just graduated from my masters degree from Ohio University in Clarinet Performance and earned my bachelor from Western Kentucky University in Music/Spanish. I started teaching band camp after my first year of college have not stopped, soon after that I started giving private lessons to clarinetist in the western Ky area and I realize that I loved it. I have had experiences in tutoring, college group-studies, and leading sectionals in high school band as well as rehearsing church choir where I had the chance to interact with different age-groups ranging from children in elementary school to adults older than my own parents where I tried to determine ways to improve my understanding of teaching and cultivating efficient methods through reflections and advice.
