Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I wont be asking a student to, all of the sudden, begin some vigorous practice routine of 20 hours a week. But I will be working with them to establish a routine that will work in their favor as a musician. I like to let students come to their own conclusions about things I like to just show a student the way. I am a University of North Texas graduate. I studied with Jim Riggs and Dr. Eric Nestler and played in the top lab bands and classical ensembles while attending school. I later moved to NYC where I started my professional playing career. I lived there for 14 years playing with several music ensembles and studied with Bill Blount on clarinet and Lorrie Glaze on piano. For beginning students I tend to start with them learning the basic elements of the instruments and go over exercises that help familiarize them with the instrument. I then will start the student in the Hal Leonard's Essential ELements of books. After they have gained a grasp of the fundamentals I will start to focus more on the type of music they will learn. I have been teaching since age 15 (1999). In addition to extensive performing experience on clarinet, I have functioned as a piano accompanist, choir member, and praise band member through the years. As noted above, I teach clarinet, saxophone, flute, and piano. My methods vary according to each individual students' needs and goals, however I try to find the approach that will best help a student to appreciate music in general, sharpen the mind, and give each student a level of skill on their instrument that provides a sense of accomplishment.
