I believe thatprivate instruction is the best way for anyone to advance their learning of a particular instrument. One-on-one instruction ensures that each student is getting what they need as an individual. Here, I am able to address the learning style of each student, as a unique musician. Playing WITH the student, both in unison, and in duets, students have the opportunity to see and hear a model for clarinet playing. Read More

With many years experience and training, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. My students are successful because lessons are challenging but fun, positive and enjoyable. I have worked with young beginners and have studied the different needs of adult beginners. I am an active performer, playing in several orchestras in the area, giving recitals and playing in various small ensembles. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I like to start off with teaching the right way to sit at a piano. Correct posture and hand placement are very important so they dont begin to have bad habits. After the first intro lesson, I like to keep children having fun by providing them with music they might already know. Read More

Instruments: Clarinet

I am an organized teacher and lessons are structured to accommodate technique development and fun solo work. Each month we will set a goal, and build a weekly plan to get you to accomplish that goal. I ask students to keep a journal of their goals and practice time focus so we can measure how we're working to our goal. We will always do warm up exercises, scale of the week to improve sight-reading, finger twisters to improve technical ability, and solo work of your choosing to put all that practice into action! Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
