I love anything to do with music. I could be playing, or someone else could be playing, I truely enjoy music. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. This means that I use reacreation as therapy for people with disabilities. I used music in a lot of my activities. I am in school now for a Master's in Special Education. I try to listen carefully to what they say, and try to figure out what they really mean. Since each student is an individual I do not categorize them. I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. I have been involved in music as a player since 1966, and have been a featured soloist on both trumpet and clarinet with concert bands around the Southeast. I began playing my secondary instrument (trumpet) in 1970, and have studied conducting with symphony orchestras and concert bands.
