My entire life, I have been dedicated to the study of music. From my early childhood education to present day gigs and songwriting, music has always been a centerpiece of my life. I encourage my students to be technically proficient, musically literate, and good listeners. Having these core fundamentals down prepares my students to be able to play any style of music they choose. Lessons are always customized to fit the musical preferences of the student. I encourage the use of technology such as smartphones, iPads, and play-a-longs as teaching aids. Read More

I am comfortable teaching students just starting to play the clarinet, all the way up to advanced students looking to bring their playing to the next level! Read More

So, I find it is important to be student-centered and focus on the goals they can achieve, little at a time. I also find it important to create positive feedback and turn constructive feedback into a more positive direction, so it does not seem as tough. Read More
