Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

First the skill level of the student must be determined. Then the goals of what the student wishes to learn and wants to be capable of playing. Next we will set goals together and a time frame to achieve their goals. I began teaching at the young age of 16, while still in high school. At that point I had been playing electric bass for about 4 years and had played in a few bands and excelled at the instrument, and I knew a family friend who was looking for a bass teacher, so I volunteered. For children who want to play violin and piano, I start with the suzuki method and try to find some music that they will identify with, like disney music or the soundtrack to frozen. For children who want to play guitar, I start by teaching them the essentials in person and giving them notes to practice from (Names of strings and chords, strumming patterns and music reading). I began my journey as a mentor and teacher as a camp counselor back when I was in High School. Since then, I have developed my teaching style and experience through offering private and group music lessons in after school programs, music studios, and middle schools across Massachusetts. From 2013-2015 I went back to school for my masters in Community Music Education, where I studied traditional and experiential learning, progressive and alternative education, as well as arts administration and childhood development. It is a healthy outlet which teaches kids and adults alike the joy of interation with a group of people and can carry out in all kinds of aspects in life.
