I have been teaching for eight years, I have taught privately, in group settings, and with students of all ages. I have found that one of the most important things to have in a student teacher relationship is trust. If a student does not trust his or her teacher than they will be less encouraged to learn and practice. I am a young and passionate percussionist who loves being involved in music performance and education. I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from LIU Post in 2013, and will be finished my Master of Arts in Music Education from Hofstra University in 2017. I have had many great performance opportunities that include two performances in Carnegie Hall and other smaller venues around the country. My teaching includes all aspects of music; Musical theory, sight singing, as well as Music History. My teaching style allows the child to have fun while they learn their instrument, but I emphasize a strong practice regiment. Your child will understand that while learning music and an instrument can be fun, there will be some work involved if they want to become great.
