My name is Bree. I've been drumming since I was 12 years old and haven't looked back. My passion for music sparked with jazz, but I am classically trained in percussion. I joined my middle school jazz band and traveled the state performing at MPA and with the All County Jazz Band in 2008. Transitioning to high school, I was very interested in marching percussion. Snare drum became my favorite instrument, earning me the title of the first freshman female snare drummer in 2010. Read More

Seeing a student take on a challenging piece is more rewarding to me than anything. When I see a student struggling, I will offer the techniques that I would typically use, however there is no ONE right way to do everything. I encourage independent learning and going beyond the lesson. IF A STUDENT ONLY IS PRACTICING WHILE IN THE LESSON, WE CANNOT ADVANCE AS QUICKLY AS I PLAN. This will result in repeating lessons, which I avoid at all costs. Read More
