I'm a passionate instructor who cares deeply about a students education. In 2015, I graduated from West Johnston High School as drum captain in my band program. Since then I've performed in Alchemy Independent, an open class indoor percussion group. I've been with the group since 2017, and I have completed 2 seasons with them. Performing for an audience has been the best experiences of my life, and having the opportunity to play with all of these different organizations have been incredible and inspiring. Read More

This gave me a good perspective on how to directly connect with each student to ensure that we are exploring the best concept of learning for the individual. Drum set lessons are always more groove oriented first and I do encourage becoming comfortable learning from an aural perspective before tackling reading music and understanding theory. Read More

Ensuring that my students succeed in their drumming is one of my most important goals. Thus, I strive to adapt my teaching style to how the student learns. For example, some students thrive off of written content and concrete examples such as sheet music that lays out a clear "road map" of what music is to be played, while other students play by ear, and prefer to hear what needs to be played before attempting it themselves. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
