For beginners who are children, I help them learn to identify what all the parts of the instrument are, and what they do. For example, I taught my 2-year-old niece how to play the ukulele by helping her learn how to play the string. After she became comfortable with playing the string, I then proceeded to teach her how to push down behind the shiny stick, the "fret." I love teaching and sharing the joy of music with others! In 2011, I graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's in Percussion Performance. I've performed all over the world on cruise ships and touring with artists. I've played in numerous bands in the Los Angeles area of all genres. I also compose music for television shows. -I've taught lessons for 10 years. I've taught 5 and 6 year olds, middle and high school aged students mallets and drum set, and even congas to seniors! I have been playing for 13 years and am extremely passionate about playing and teaching. I am currently the drum instructor at Northwest Christian Univeristy and perform in their Touring group.I spent some time in Nashville at the Contemporary Music Center Performing every week and even played on a small tour as their drummer.
