Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Every student I teach privately gets their own individualized lesson plans. Whether you are an audio, visual, or kinesthetic learner, I will adapt to your needs the best that I can. For beginning students, in percussion I usually start with Standard of Excellence and in drum-set I write my own beginning parts focused on the fundamentals. As the students skill level progresses I get them on books such as The Drummers Bible, Stick Control, Developing Dexterity, and solo works. Read More

Matthew is a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing his love for Percussion. Being a Drummer since the age of 4, Matthew has been drumming for 21 years. Beginning in 2005 Matthew began his classical training as a Symphonic Percussionist. Every Percussion Instrument was honed from Concert Snare Drum to Mallet Percussion, (Marimbas, Vibraphones, Xylophones, etc.). In 2008 Matthew started Drum Corp with the Marching Snare Drum. Matthew continued to march Snare Drum until 2013, where he now predominantly plays the Drum Set for various Metal Bands and Jazz ensembles. Read More

My musical pursuits started in the 5th grade when I began playing in school band. Throughout Middle and High School I played in All County Jazz and Symphonic band. Upon my graduation I was accepted into Berklee College of Music on a merit-based scholarship and received my Bachelors of Music in Drumset Performance. It was at Berklee that I also began my teacher career and discovered the rewarded endeavor of sharing my passion for music with others. Read More

I began playing drums in the school band in 1987 at the age of 10 in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I took a strong interest in music throughout school and played in the marching band and concert band through to graduation. I played in a rock band with my brother until 1997. I majored in classical performance in college and eventually obtained a master's degree in that field by the age of 24. I performed in various symphony orchestras for more than a decade. Read More
