My favorite part of teaching lessons is the personal atmosphere where students feel comfortable and able to ask questions in order to learn in a style that best suites them. I love when a student genuinely understands or masters a concept and feels success and accomplishment. I strive to let all my students experience that successful joy through their learning process. I also try to connect teaching music to teaching lifelong lessons as the two are very connected and the better you understand one the better you understand the other. Read More

Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a student’s desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. A method I use to encourage my student’s progress is to give them stars for when they work on their assignment; the stars they earn will allow the student to choose a song of their choice that is not from the same genre being studied—this may be a pop song.
