Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I started teaching in band camp the summer after my first year of college and have continuously worked with several schools in KY. I have given lessons to students who are just starting out and high school students preparing for auditions and/other performances. I highly encourage students to start taking lessons as early as possible to establish good habits and break bad ones. Because music and the flute is a constant art of improving, I find it beneficial to record students so they can hear themselves as others do. Having recordings of a student also allows them to remember where they started and where they have grown to. I find that positive reinforcement of all elements of flute playing are essential. While I do not have much experience teaching music, I've been playing for over a decade, participating in both concert and marching ensembles, as well as Murray State's flute ensemble for several years.
