Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. As a teacher, nothing brings me more joy than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. I aim to promote this by setting realistic goals for every individual student at each lesson. We move according to each student's unique pace so as to facilitate a positive and productive learning experience. I am a passionate and experienced instructor who loves working with students of all ages and skill levels. I live in Nashville, TN and am available to teach flute and beginner piano lessons. I received my Masters in Music Performance from Northwestern University in 2021 studying flute under Professors John Thorne, Jennifer Gunn, and Alyce Johnson. I was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra during my time there, and I also participated in many chamber groups and worked as a Graduate Assistant to the Contemporary Music Ensemble. I'm a licensed teacher that enjoys sharing my passion for music. In December 2016, I graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education. Performing as part of Cedar Creek Community Band, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra Pit has given me a variety of experiences to inform my teaching. I am the conductor of the flute choir during the Mississippi Flute Festival every summer. I am currently 29 years old, hold a degree in flute performance from USM (Danilo Mezzadri, professor), a masters degree in wind conducting from the same institution (Thomas V. Fraschillo, professor), and a D.M.A. in orchestral conducting with Carlos Riazuelo at LSU with a minor in choral conducting (John Dickson, professor). I currently work as an adjunct professor as well as flute professor, and I'm also the interim choir director at a church in Morristown. Read More

The first priority for me is to dully understand what each student and parent wants from the desire for private instruction. My teaching methods are tailored to each student's indidvidual needs and expectaions for the duration of lessons. I don't have a specific method book set, for I use multiple sources thoughout the teaching experience. Most of my students are middle and high school students. In that case, I work with them on whatever they may be playing in their respective school band programs. Read More
