I love being able to send students on their way for the day knowing that they put their best foot forward. Even if they did not come to a lesson prepared, being able to see growth in the small amount of time I'm with them is enough for me. I understand that every student progresses at their own pace, so I work with them and their parents to make sure that realistic goals are set and written down to hold the student, parent, and myself to this growth plan. It is a joy to watch my students find enjoyment in music! I understand that each student progresses at their own rate, so I make it a point to always discuss with my students what their goals and hopes with lessons are. This allows me to tailor my lessons to each student's wants and needs, which in turn helps motivate them to practice and grow in their musicianship. Another important component of teaching is to set realistic goals for my students, both short-term and long-term, to help encourage them. Read More
