I began teaching flute lessons in 1996.  Since then I have taught lessons in Voice, Flute, and Piano at 2 different local performing arts schools as well as several private lessons outside of the school.  I have been involved in teaching students the beauty of music for over a decade.  I also have several years of stage performance.  I have performed in college and with the Pensacola Opera in several operas and musicals including: Aida, The Magic Flute, The Barber of Seville, The Marriage of Figaro, La Boheme, La Traviata, L'elisir d'amore,  Pirates of Penzance, Ruddigore, etc. Read More

I am a dedicated and motivated instructor with over 10 years of public school and private experience in Texas, Massachusetts, and Florida. I graduated from SMU's Meadows School of the Arts (Dallas, TX) with degrees in Music Education and Saxophone Performance. As a performer, I have substituted with the Dallas Wind Symphony, performed with MIT's Balinese Gamelan, Gamelan Galak-Tika, and played bansuri (Indian flute) with my husband on tabla at various Indian weddings and venues. I grew up taking private clarinet lessons in the Seminole county area, all the way through high school before I studied under Dr. Lynn Musco and Mrs. Jessica Speak at Stetson University. While pursuing my studies, I took various pedagogical classes such as Woodwind methods, and Pedagogy for Musicians, both of which I received A+'s in for my final grade.
