For beginning students for playing the flute I would teach them about the horn, how to put it together, and the best way to blow into the mouthpiece with correct air support. I prefer to focus on the joy of making music and the satisfaction of learning through accomplishment! In order to achieve this, I will try my best to keep lessons upbeat (pun intended), fast paced, and fun! Especially for younger students, I will use games and interactive activities to keep the student engaged, although I do believe games are good for the soul at all ages. I will give detailed feedback to students and teach the student at whatever pacing works best for them. Read More
