Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I like to start out my first lesson with each student by making a goal chart and uncovering the student's needs and goals and then go from there! I went on to study flute at Albion College where I held a full solo recital, competed and won my college's Concerto Competition, and was a regular soloist with the symphony orchestra on campus. Since college, I have been freelancing, teaching lessons off and on, and sharing my talent on the streets of Downtown Holland as a street performer. I choose the course of study based on the individual student. Beginners usually start in "Flute 101" or the Blocki Method - Book 1. Really young students start on a small, Nuvo flute, to accommodate size, then graduate to a traditional flute. I have a number of games and projects for young beginners. Adult students learn a lot of repertoire and/or work through etude books to improve fundamentals and musical skills. Read More
