I began teaching music while I was in college. Although I was not an education major, I did take education classes and learned a lot about pedagogy during my time in college. I have experience teaching beginning percussion-intermediate percussion on mallet instruments, snare drum, timpani, drum set, and orchestral percussion. My professional career began when I entered into the United States Marine Corps as a flautist. I was stationed at Cherry Point and Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Bands.
