Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet

I am a friendly, calm teacher which is my style. I motivate my students a lot but do it in a positive way. All my students understand that they ultimately decide whether not they will have success or not, no one else. It is my job to guide you and to give you advice, but in the end the student must be the one who does the work. Students who think in this way usually do have the most success. Read More

Instruments: Flute

Music for me has been the one constant in my long trip called life. Since the age of 10 I have played trumpet, then baritone horn. I took my brother's flute and began learning flute solos off of the radio. All new concepts should be put to practical use immediately after they are learned  for better memory and retention. 3. Music Theory concepts are embedded throughout the learning process. 4. Instruments: Piano, Flute, Piccolo

I usually recommend piano as a starting instrument for children at least 5 years of age. Most often, I use the Alfred Piano Library Series of coordinating lesson books. I am most comfortable teaching beginner to intermediate level piano students. My main teaching instrument is Flute, and I can successfully teach ages 9 and up depending on the size of the student (sometimes younger if a curved head joint is used). I enjoy using various method books to develop fundamental skills and then pair these with appropriate level solo works. Read More
