I am a multi-instumentalist/performer/teacher who loves working with students of all ages and musical backgrounds. My specialty is classical music, but I am also a singer/songwriter! I have a masters degree in Oboe Performance from the prestigious CCM, at the University of Cincinnati. I live as a freelance oboist, pianist, and vocalist in New York City, and am currently recording my first full length album. I'm a passionate, motivated, and organized instructor who loves working with my students to share my love of music. I graduated from Northwestern University this June with my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Saxophone Performance. I maintained a studio of six saxophone, piano, and percussion students while earning my degree, so I am very experienced with private teaching! As a saxophone player, woodwinds are my specialty. The most important thing is that the student is happy. I tailor the lessons to the interests, learning style and development of the student. Exercises are assigned according to the music being studied. Goals are set at the end of each lesson to push the the student to do his/her best and to achieve his/her goals.
