Beginning students will start with tone and basic theory studies from the Trevor Wye Series. We then go on to learning some easy standards. For more experienced students, you'll choose an etude book, study tone from Moyse's "De La Sonorite", and really hone your scales and arpeggios from Taffanel and Gaubert's 24 Daily Studies. I can use whatever method they already have or I can recommend a method for us to study. A compliment and more flute oriented book is Flute 101-103 Which ranges from beginners to medium-advanced students.
