Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I will typically alter my lesson plans according to each student's needs and goals. I love using method books and even beginning band books. For true beginners, it is so important to develop a strong foundation for breathing, posture, embouchure, and finger position. For example, to help practice deep breathing, I have my students lay down on the ground with a book on their stomach. Then, I will ask them to breath while trying to move the book up and down. The list goes on!After completing a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute performance from Florida Southern College, her education continued at Florida State University with a Master's degree in Music Therapy. As a professional musician, she has performed on flute and handbells as a soloist and in ensembles for featured concerts, worship services and pit orchestras.
