I have been involved in music my entire life, starting in a percussion group and choir in elementary school. I started on the clarinet at the beginning of middle school. I taught myself how to play the clarinet amongst the other instruments I play with the help and guidance of college professors, band directors, and tricks I noticed along the way. My experience began over 15 years ago. As a pre-college student, I began teaching private lesson part time in the summer. Since then, I have been dedicated to teaching flute students. This experience includes public school instruction at the elementary, middle, high school and college. As an adjunct assistant professor, I revived a flute studio of majors and non majors on the east coast. We learn at different paces. For me to see someone accomplish a goal is a reward in itself and they should be proud as well they even accomplished something that is so major. I set realistic goals for my students each lesson and from there we add another goal to add to the last goal.
