My teaching experience began during my undergraduate studies. Instructing privately, I developed exposure teaching classical, electric, and acoustic musical styles. During my assistantship at the Lamont School of music, my teaching resided primarily toward college students. However, I am truly passionate towards working with students of all ages. I have been teaching music since 2012. I began in Denver Colorado teaching in home lessons on various instruments through various companies. As my teaching skills progressed so did my love for teaching. That inspired me to open my own private lessons studio. In 2018 my fiancé and I decided to move from the front range back to Grand Junction to be closer to family. My teaching method varies depending on their age. From 4 years to 8 years i use an advance learning method, which consists of developing reading and playing based on color coding music notes. For people 9 and up the method i use is the traditional method from the Cuban and Spaniard school. This consists of developing the three characteristics of a musician. I use many different methods since I am of the opinion that all methods have their strengths and their weaknesses.  For children I typically use the Suzuki method and suplement with exercises and outside repertoire to compensate for the weaknesses in the Suzuki method.  I also use the Royal Conservatory method and try to teach its repertoire when the student is at an advance- beginner or intermediate level.
