If the student is having a hard time finding interest in the instrument through disciplines, I start them off with various ear training games to get them to make connections between the music inside of them and the guitar or bass as a constructive outlet. This generally creates a foundation that has room for disciplines. I'm passionate about encouraging students to be self-motivated in their pursuit of music. In 2013 I graduated from The Florida State University with my Masters in Music Composition and Theory. I have had the opportunity to write and perform original compositions for solo guitar and various ensembles utilizing the guitar, as well as various chamber ensembles and symphonies.
