I began teaching drums and percussion around my senior year of high school (1999). For guitar/bass guitar, I began teaching sometime in 2009. I feel very fortunate regarding my teaching experiences. In the beginning and still today, I tend to spark a musical interest in people through performance -- and just as often -- conversation. Those I've had the fortune to work with have varied widely in age and experience. The majority of my experience has been with young adults, teens, and pre-teens. Read More

Though my specialty is in music composition, my undergraduate degree is in guitar and choral education, and I have been teaching guitar for over 10 years, to students from 5 - 80. I am currently an adjunct professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and teach guitar and bass lessons / classes, songwriting, music composition, and music theory. If a student is interested in songwriting or composing for the guitar, then I can most definitely equip them with the tools necessary to do just that. Read More

My primary focus is in clarinet and composition. But my study and expertise spans also to voice, ukulele, and guitar. I enjoy playing music from several genres including rock, pop, musical theater, Klezmer, band, country, folk and classical. I am state certified music educator and have been conducting a children's choir in my community since 2013. Read More
