My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time. I have been consistently teaching students since 2018. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. With all students I work on becoming aware of the Voice as the unique instrument that it is. I will teach them to listen, creating excercises to develop their creativity as they explore their own Voice as a unique instrument and tool. Half an hour is dedicated to developement and vocalization, then we work on repertoire that we would choose together, including improvisation excercises in which I play and sing a tune and they sing it back as it is or with added melismas or notes as they hear it.
