Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Jacob began his musical fruition at the age of 8 years old, after being inspired by listening to Rock N Roll and being surrounded by a family of musicians. He later went on to perform with cover bands in an array of musical academies across venues in New York and New Jersey; most notably The Cutting Room, McLoones Supper Club, The Stone Pony, House of Independence, and many more. After years of being taught by professional musicians, band instructors, and guitar teachers, he became dedicated to his inner-musical obligation and received his degree from Rowan University; studying Music Industry of Technology and minoring in Human Resource Management. Passionate classically trained guitar player with more than 20 years experience playing onstage and for various bands and solo artists. I am familiar with different styles of music: classical, rock, pop, jazz and country. Can also compose songs, re-arrange, orchestrate and produce. My specialty is to break down complex terminologies associated with music theory in a simplified manner and implement them in a very practical way. One of my goals as a teacher is to make sure my students learn one new thing every week! Whether it be a concept about reading notes on a staff or figuring out how to play there first chord. Each student progresses at a different pace so my method for teaching one student how to read notes depends on how much they can at a time. With the small devotion of 30 minutes a day to your practicing, I can make a novice player become a good guitarist, and a good guitarist into a great player. For beginning pre-teen students, I most often begin with the Alfred Auberge method. For those who can already read music or have played another instrument, the Mel Bay method is a good start. For adults, I often use the Frederick Noad books Segovia Diatonic scales and Giuliani arpeggios. Read More
