Im big on using a metronome for all students and for them having a binder to keep all their papers. I find that if students can get down a sense of rhythm everything than falls into place which is where the meternome comes in. I have been teaching since before I even went to college. My teaching experience, professionally, began in 2018. In 2019, I began college at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for vocal music. After that, I went on to teach more voice lessons, and added on piano, ukulele, guitar, and even theatre. Currently, I am an elementary music teacher in the Bronx and East Harlem. There, I continued to teach music theory and aural skills classes, and taught beginner music students the fundamentals of notation. After my graduation in 2015, I went on to become Assistant Professor of Music at the Conservatory of Ipek University, in Ankara, Turkey. I started teaching voice while at Purchase College and then focused on performing and writing, and came back to teaching last year. I use the techniques I've learned from my vocal teachers along the way, as long as my own ideas and perspectives on healthy, correct ways to sing your best.
